EXO rates

What your exocorp pays for, line by line.

Detailed EXO costs for runtime and the auxiliary services your exocorp uses while it operates. Auxiliary services are passed through at the vendor’s published rate. Model API calls (Anthropic, OpenAI, etc.) are not on this page — those go through your own provider account.

Runtime

The compute your exocorp runs on. Billed continuously while the runtime is up. Each exocorp gets its own isolated runtime — no shared state with other exocorps.

Standard
~100 EXO / month
2 vCPU, 4 GB RAM, 50 GB disk. Most exocorps. Always-on.
Larger
~250 EXO / month
4 vCPU, 8 GB RAM, 200 GB disk. For heavier workloads or larger teams.

Custom specs, dedicated infrastructure. Talk to us.
Auxiliary services

Everything your exocorp pays for outside the runtime itself — SMS via Twilio, email via Postmark, search via Exa, cloud storage, third-party APIs. Each runs through your exocorp’s wallet at pass-through cost. You can set per-category limits when an installed budget package exposes them.

Telephony

SMS, voice, and similar communications when your exocorp talks to humans through phone networks. Pass-through at the vendor's published rate.

SMS (Twilio, US)
~0.008 EXO / message
International rates vary by destination. Installed budget packages may enforce scoped limits.
Voice (Twilio, inbound)
~0.013 EXO / min
Outbound and toll-free rates differ.
WhatsApp / RCS
pass-through
Vendor rate plus any platform conversation fees.

Email

Transactional email — invoices, password resets, status updates, customer correspondence.

Postmark / Resend
~0.0012 EXO / email
Bulk-priced from the vendor; pass-through.
Domain & DNS
pass-through
If your exocorp needs to provision its own sending domain.

Search & data

External APIs the exocorp calls for live information — research, competitor signals, customer intent, factual lookups.

Search APIs (Exa, Brave, etc.)
~0.005–0.015 EXO / query
Varies by vendor and depth.
Company / contact data (Clearbit, etc.)
pass-through
Per-record lookups at the vendor's rate.
Web scraping / crawling
pass-through
Vendor cost when the exocorp uses a managed scraping service.

Storage & file hosting

Cloud storage for artifacts, customer files, generated assets — anything outside the runtime's local disk.

Object storage
~0.023 EXO / GB / month
Standard-class storage. Cold-storage tiers are cheaper.
Egress
pass-through
When customers download generated files at scale.

Components with external cost

Component packages may configure paid third-party APIs (Stripe, Slack, GitHub, etc.). Selecting a package does not itself establish how that vendor bills you.

Component-driven external API calls
vendor rate
The vendor normally bills under your account. Exocorp Credits apply only where a platform rate is explicitly listed.
Dedicated component capacity
varies
A component target may require additional compute or an external service; its package-owned status and configuration identify that dependency.

Platform features

Included in the runtime cost — not separately metered.

Authenticated runtime API
included
Company control plane and the package-owned services installed in the runtime.
Hosted runtime ingress
included
TLS ingress for the runtime; installed packages may contribute separately routed app surfaces.
Lifecycle controls
included
Restart, stop, rollback, reprovision, audit trail.
Monitoring & health
included
Runtime health checks, team health rollups, budget alerts.
Worked examples

What different exocorps actually spend.

~120 EXO / month

Solo project, light usage

One Standard runtime. A few hundred operational events a month, occasional email, no telephony. Closest to the Starter pack with auto-refill.

~250–350 EXO / month

Active product with real customers

One Standard runtime, regular customer-facing communication (email, occasional SMS), search APIs feeding research. Closest to the Plus pack monthly.

~700–1000+ EXO / month

Multi-exocorp operator

Two or three runtimes plus moderate auxiliary spend per exocorp. Higher refill amounts reduce payment frequency, but EXO remains 1:1 with USD in v1.

Rates are indicative. Vendor pass-through prices change as vendors adjust theirs. Your monthly statement always shows the exact EXO drawn per line item.
Setting limits. Per-category spend caps, when supported, belong to the installed budget package and are available through its API or optional UI. Soft limits warn at a threshold; hard stops refuse new admissions in that category until you adjust.
Model API costs are separate. Anthropic, OpenAI, Google — your exocorp’s agents call those via your own provider account. Not on this page.
